Muskox: Survival in the Arctic Earns Four Nominations at Earth In Focus Singapore Nature Film Festival 2026

Muskox: Survival in the Arctic has been officially nominated at the Earth In Focus Singapore Nature Film Festival 2026, competing in four categories: Best Feature Film, Best Cinematography, Best Script and Best Sound.

The festival jury praised the film for its powerful storytelling and its contribution to strengthening audiences’ connection with nature.

The film is part of the festival’s official selection, which brings together nature filmmakers from around the world. The 2026 festival will take place in Singapore from 5–8 November, with the awards ceremony scheduled for 7 November at Cineleisure.

Winners in the film and photography competitions will be announced during the ceremony.

For Muskox: Survival in the Arctic, the four nominations represent recognition across both its creative and technical production, adding another milestone to the film’s journey on the festival circuit.

Chris Schmid

Chris Schmid is an award winning photographer and filmmaker based in Switzerland, although his work takes him all over the world. His subjects focus on wildlife, travel and outdoor activities. His photographs are an invitation to discover the world with wide eyes and vibrant enthusiasm. His aspiration always remains the same: approaching the environment in the midst of its elements.

He is a Sony Global Imaging ambassador, a DJI ambassador and an official contributing photographer to WildAID. He has won multiple international awards including PDN World in Focus, IPA Professional, PX3 Prix de la Photographie de Paris and Nature’s Best Photography Africa. Chris is also a contributor to the Remembering Elephants project, the Born Free Foundation fund-raising book and exhibition, illustrated by the worlds finest wildlife photographers.
