Muskox: Survival in the Arctic Nominated at the Jackson Wild Media Awards
We are deeply honored to announce that Muskox: Survival in the Arctic has been nominated for Cinematography at the Jackson Wild Media Awards, one of the most prestigious honors in natural-history filmmaking and often described as nature film’s equivalent to the Oscars®.
The American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) will judge the finalists in the Cinematography category. The winner will be announced during the awards ceremony on November 10, 2026, in Los Angeles.
From the beginning, our ambition was to bring audiences into the muskoxen’s world — to capture the scale and beauty of the Arctic while revealing the resilience and character of this remarkable, often-overlooked species.
Filming in such remote and demanding conditions was never easy, but those challenges became part of the experience. We wanted the images to do more than document behaviour — to create a sense of immersion and connection with the animals and the landscape that has shaped them for thousands of years.
The film is beautifully narrated by the very talented Daisy Head, whose voice brings emotion and intimacy to the story.
We are grateful to receive this recognition from Jackson Wild and proud to see the muskox celebrated alongside outstanding natural-history productions from around the world.
Muskox: Survival in the Arctic was produced by Stay Wild Studio and is distributed by Off the Fence.
